Pre-Chinese New Year Outing

We're about two weeks away from Chinese New Year!
How fast time flies; I barely have the time to let the beginning of 2018 sink in, OH MY GOD.

Anyway, to get ourselves into the festive mood, my parents and I decided to head to town to absorb the life of crazy shopping crowds, haha.

But before that, we went to our usual thrift store to scour for goodies, and I was so happy to find a burgundy velvet blazer; the fit was perfect for my petite but chunky body, WOOHOO!
I didn't aim to dress so auspiciously; all I need is gold jewelry for this outfit to be completely Chinese-New-Year-worthy (and to toss the black bag aside), but I have always been a bit of a rebel when it comes to my style nowadays, eh?

T-shirt: Zara
Jeans: H&M
Blazer: From a thrift store
Flats: Givenchy
Vintage bag: From mom
Vintage bangle: Ciner New York

Here's a close-up on my outfit details:

STYLING TIP: I love the look of my chunky molten silver bangle peeking out from the shorter blazer sleeves, because it is a little unexpected and that's pretty cool. Don't be afraid to cuff your long sleeves just to show off your arm candy!

If you all noticed by now, I am not a huge fan of silver jewelry as opposed to gold, but I can make an exception for something this modern-looking!
